L'exemplaire n° 787 de MONNAIES XXIII, de même type que cette drachme, a été vendu 598€ sur un ordre maximum de 1600€. Sur cet exemplaire, le croissant au-dessus du sanglier est complet, ainsi que celui sous l'animal qui est accompagné d'un globule. Certaines monnaies de ce type ont un annelet pointé sous l'animal, mais elles n'ont pas le croissant au-dessus (cf. S. 446 et 446 bis R/).
Coinage XXIII No. 787, of the same type as this drachma, sold for €598 on a maximum bid of €1,600. On this coin, the crescent above the boar is complete, as is the one below the animal, which is accompanied by a globule. Some coins of this type have a pointed annulet below the animal, but they do not have the crescent above it (see S. 446 and 446 bis R/).

GALLIA - SOUTH WESTERN GAUL - RUTENI (Area of Rodez)
(1st century BC)
Neighbors of the Arvernes, the Cadurques and the Gabales, their territory corresponded to the former Rouergue (current department of Aveyron) to the north of the Tarn, the course of which constituted the border with the province of Narbonnaise. The Rutenes, allies of the Arvernes, had participated in the operations which led to the defeat of Bituit, king of the Arvernes in 121 BC and the creation of the province of Narbonnaise. On this occasion, the Rutenes had found themselves cut in two, following the natural border of the Tarn. Active in the coalition against the Romans in 52 BC, they provided a contingent of 12,000 men to the relief army. Sources: Caesar (BG. I, 45; VII, 5, 64, 75 and 90).
