Superb booklet in its original cardboard box in imitation leather and velvet issued on the occasion of the first world festival of Black Arts and the philatelic exhibition in Dakar in 1966. The back of the box has some small tears, revealing its cardboard appearance. In 1966, the World Festival of Black Arts, organized at the initiative of the magazine Présence Africaine and the African Society of Culture by Léopold Sédar Senghor, constituted an unprecedented event in the cultural history of the African continent.
