Médaille, conservée dans un écrin bleu, issue du médaillier Franklin qui met à l’honneur le tableau de Léonard de Vinci : La Vierge aux rochers (1483-1486). Commandée par la Confraternité de l’Immaculée Conception pour sa chapelle à l’église San Francesco Grande de Milan, elle est désormais conservée au Musée du Louvre à Paris.
Médaille sculptée par Herman de Roos.
Théoriquement, le poinçon crabe est censé indiquer un titrage à 800 millièmes.
Medal, preserved in a blue case, from the Franklin medalist who honors Leonardo da Vinci's painting: The Virgin of the Rocks (1483-1486). Commissioned by the Confraternity of the Immaculate Conception for its chapel in the church of San Francesco Grande in Milan, it is now kept at the Louvre Museum in Paris. Collection of medals issued by the Medallier in a limited edition. Once a month, at the price of 180 Frs, a medal was sent. This collection took place between 1974 and 1982.
