TIBET

(7th century - 1951)

Tibet or Xizang in Chinese is located on a plateau of average altitude 4500 meters with the Himalayas to the south. The history of Tibet remains unknown until the 7th century. after our era. In 1903, the English entered Lhasa and imposed a commercial treaty. The Chinese were expelled in 1911. After the Second World War, the English withdrawal allowed the Chinese to annex Tibet.
