TROAS - ANTANDROS

(5th century BC)

Antandros, placed in the northern part of the Gulf of Adramyteion, was an Aeolian colony. It was renowned for its temple of Artemis Astyrene, located in Astyra, dependent on Antandros. Coinage began at the end of the 5th century BC.
