Suite à une grave crise financière en 2001, la Turquie a ramené son inflation à un niveau raisonnable avant l’introduction de la nouvelle livre turque en 2005 équivalente à 1.000.000 de livre turque..

Turkish women gradually became accustomed to paying with coins and banknotes in thousands of lira, then millions and billions. Following a severe financial crisis in 2001, Turkey brought its inflation down to a reasonable level before the introduction of the new Turkish lira in 2005, equivalent to 1,000,000 Turkish lira.
