La valeur faciale est très inhabituelle pour nous, mais existe au Vénézuela depuis 1896. C’est en fait une monnaie de 1/8 de Bolivar. Cette monnaie très populaire est surnommé “Locha” ou “Cuartillo”. En 1971, on interrompit sa production au profit de la monnaie de 10 Centimos aussitôt baptisée “Locha mocha”. En 2007, lors de l’introduction du Bolivar Fuerte (BsF), une monnaie de 12 /12 centimos a été de nouveau mise en circulation..
The face value is very unusual for us, but has existed in Venezuela since 1896. It is actually a 1/8 Bolivar coin. This very popular coin is nicknamed “Locha” or “Cuartillo”. In 1971, its production was discontinued in favor of the 10 Centimos coin, immediately dubbed “Locha mocha”.
