评论
If obols with N are relatively rare, obols with T are even more rarely encountered. According to G. Depeyrot's directory, obols with T are of only one type (head on the left); he only lists the four examples in the BN. The weights are 0.43, 0.52, 0.45 and finally 0.41 grams for a filled obol. This example is average, with 0.45 grams

GALLIA - VOLCÆ ARECOMICI (Area of Nîmes)
(1st century BC)
The Arecomic Volques, from the same group or people (volk) would have emigrated from the Danubian regions to come and settle in southern Gaul in the 3rd century BC. Installed on part of the current departments of Gard and Hérault, their capital was Nemausus (Nîmes). It is normally on their territory that Narbo Martius (Narbonne) was founded in 118 BC, which was to become the capital of the Provincia. Sources: Caesar (BG. VII, 7, 64); Strabo (G. IV, 1, 12).
