Exemplaire frappé sur un flan un peu court. Très beau droit, malgré une frappe un peu décentrée. Revers avec le cheval complet mais de frappe un peu plus molle. Légères concrétions rougeâtres, sur l’avant du cheval

Sur les monnaies de ce type, il y a une petite tête coupée renversée devant le visage (hors flan sur cet exemplaire). La lyre du revers est censée être accostée de deux petits astres tournoyants.

ABRINCATUI (Cotentin PENINSULA)
(1st century BC)
The Abrincatui were a small people settled in the south-west of the current Cotentin (Avranches). They had as neighbors Unelles, from where a confusion in the attribution of the coins of these two people. The Jersey treasure contributes greatly to the knowledge of this coinage. Discovered in the 19th century, the treasures discovered on the island of Jersey testify to the important role played by this island in the trade between Gaul and Brittany..
