Exemplaire complet avec des types centrés, mais avec un droit un peu mou, probablement issu d’un coin usé. Le revers est bien net et présente les traces de cassures du coin. Patine grise, légèrement irisée

(7th - 8th centuries)
If the minting of these coins is to be located at the beginning of the 8th century, in Great Britain, it is not exceptional to find them in Gaul. They are often confused with Merovingian silver coins (cf. MONNAIES XIX, n° 503, sceattas c. 680-710, classified in Merovingian denier of Laon). During the 8th century, the style of these pieces is more and more degenerated, they are often in ridge or filled. These coins disappeared from circulation in the second half of the 8th century.
