Exemplaire sur un flan large et irrégulier avec un défaut de frappe au droit entre 4 et 6 heures et au revers entre 12 et 2 heures (métal pincé). Très beau portrait, bien venu à la frappe. Joli revers. Très belle patine marron chocolat

Poids très léger. Sans argenture. Rubans de type 3. Les ptéryges ne sont pas visibles. Sur cet exemplaire, le sceptre de Pax est vertical.

CARAUSIUS
(late 286-293)
Carausius is named commander-in-chief of the fleet in charge of fighting against Frankish and Breton pirates. Proclaimed august in 286, he seized Brittany and part of the west coast of northern Gaul, between Scheldt and Seine. He was assassinated at the end of 293 by Allectus, his praetorian prefect.
