En haut étoile rayonnante avec un G surmonté des lettres J ET B, au bas à gauche ; niveau superposé d’un ciseau et règle en croix, à droite Delta avec oeil, entre deux rameaux d’acacia noués avec la cordelière, et sur sa gauche truelle nouée avec le lac d’Amour, à droite, le maillet noué.

La Loge Philosophie Cosmopolite est crée le 3 juin 1863. Le temple est situé rue Biscarrat, 10 Maison Vial, puis transféré au 21 rue Alsace-Lorraine. En 1886, le Vénérable est le F :. BILBAUT Louis, entrepreneur de travaux publics. Le récipiendaire de la médaille est le vénérable LATTES Robert, Docteur en médecine, 18° demeure 11 avenue Baquis, Nice.
La Loge Philosophie Cosmopolite a fêté ses 150 ans le vendredi 18 octobre 2013 au Temple Bonaparte à Nice. Lors de cette Tenue Régulière, les Frères de Philosophie Cosmopolite ont retracé son histoire depuis sa création en 1863 jusqu’à nos jours.
Exemplaire non répertorié et non photographié dans l’ouvrage de Marc Labouret. Manque au Labouret !.
The Cosmopolitan Philosophy Lodge was created on June 3, 1863. The temple was located at 10 Maison Vial, rue Biscarrat, then moved to 21 rue Alsace-Lorraine. In 1886, the Venerable was Brother Louis BILBAUT, a public works contractor. The medal recipient was Venerable Robert LATTES, Doctor of Medicine, 18th residence at 11 avenue Baquis, Nice. The Cosmopolitan Philosophy Lodge celebrated its 150th anniversary on Friday, October 18, 2013, at the Bonaparte Temple in Nice. During this Regular Meeting, the Brothers of Cosmopolitan Philosophy retraced its history from its creation in 1863 to the present day. This copy was not listed or photographed in Marc Labouret's book. Missing from Labouret!

The compass and the square are very often associated in an ambivalent symbol of balance: fixity and mobility, passive and active, matter and spirit.. The compass is the tool of the Creator and of the great Architect of the Universe. The spacing of the branches of the compass obeys precise rules and varies according to the three degrees: apprentice, companion, master. The Napoleonic era, in the activity of lodges as in that of many groups, saw a flowering after the terrible years of the revolutionary period. Masonic activity, rid of its republican theories and firmly controlled by a Grand-Master appointed by the Emperor, experienced a vigor in unity never found since.. It is considered that each regiment, each garrison, each city had its Lodge. The testimonies that the sumptuous tokens of the period leave us show that these lodges were rich and influential.. The symbolism is sought after, without comparison with the later eras, which were much more conventional, even bland or destitute at the beginning of the 20th century.. Freemasonry had more than a thousand lodges spread over one hundred and thirty departments and more than sixty thousand Brothers.
