Le style de tête est très particulier, proche des DT. 2423 et 2426, considérés comme “inédite” ou “variété originale”.
Ce denier appartient à la classe E de la typologie d'Allen qu'il appelle "type au serpent" ou à la classe 1b de S. Scheers, variété stylisée du type à l'hippocampe. Dans le nouveau classement de J.-P. Delestrée et M. Tache, ce type se retrouve dans la série 414, “dérivés en argent à la tête de Pallas". Le style est très différent de celui des monnaies de la série 31 !.

This coin belongs to class E of Allen's typology which he calls \\\"snake type\\\" or to class 1b of S. Scheers, stylized variety of the seahorse type. In the new classification by J.-P. Delestrée and M. Tache, this type is found in series 414, “silver derivatives at the head of Pallas\\\". The style is very different from that of the coins in series 31!

GALLIA - AULERCI EBUROVICES (Area of Évreux)
(2nd - 1st century BC)
The Aulerci were subdivided into three tribes: Aulerci Diablintes, Aulerci Cenomani and Aulerci Éburovices. The territory of Aulerques Éburovices corresponds to the current department of Eure. They are quoted several times in Caesar's Commentaries. According to the latter, they would have massacred their Senate favorable to the Romans in 56 BC and would have joined the Unelles and the revolted Lexoviens. In 52 BC, they provided a contingent of three thousand men to the relief army. : Caesar (BG.(II, 34; III, 17, 29; VII, 4, 75; VIII, 7). Kruta: 72.
