Ce bronze semble inédit ; il pourrait tirer son inspiration dans la série 47 “à la tête humaine de face” pour la tête coupée entre les jambes du cheval au revers, et dans la série 48 “type cheval / cheval - au cheval retournant la tête”.
Mais aucune des monnaies publiées dans ces séries ne correspond à cet exemplaire. Au revers, la tête coupé a la particularité d’être à l’envers, avec le nez, les yeux et la bouche bien visibles.
This bronze appears to be unique; it could draw its inspiration from series 47 “with a human head facing forward” for the severed head between the horse’s legs on the reverse, and from series 48 “horse / horse type - with a horse turning its head”. But none of the coins published in these series correspond to this example. On the reverse, the severed head has the particularity of being upside down, with the nose, eyes and mouth clearly visible.

AMBIANI (Area of Amiens)
(2nd - 1st century BC)
Their name, "those who are on both sides of the river", indicates that the Ambiens, people of Belgian Gaul, occupied both banks of the Somme (Samara). Their territory corresponds to the current department of the Somme. Their neighbors were the Calètes, the Morins, the Atrébates, the Bellovaques. Their main oppidum was Samarobriva (near Amiens). They participated in the coalition of the Belgian peoples in 57 BC and provided a contingent of ten thousand men. In 52 BC, it was a contingent of five thousand men that they gave for the relief army dedicated to clearing Alesia. Caesar (BG. II, 4, 15; VII, 75; VIII, 7). Strabo (G. IV, 5). Kruta: 68, 110, 366.
