Ce bronze semble de même coin de droit que l’exemplaire du Musée de Lyon n° 1081 (Collection La Saussaye). Le droit semble porter un torque (en forme de croissant) au cou mais aussi un ornement (qui pourrait être une sorte de cuirasse) retombant sur le buste.
This bronze appears to have the same obverse die as the copy in the Lyon Museum No. 1081 (La Saussaye Collection). The obverse appears to bear a torque (in the shape of a crescent) around the neck, but also an ornament (which could be a sort of breastplate) falling over the bust.

(2nd - 1st century BC)
The Leuques are mentioned only once in the Gallic Wars. Their neighbors were the Médiomatriques, the Lingons and the Séquanes. The Leuques as well as the Séquanes and the Lingones provided Caesar with wheat when the Roman army stopped at Vesontio (Besançon) to refuel before facing the Germans of Ariovistus (58 BC).
