Cette rarissime variété n’était connue qu’à un seul exemplaire conservé au musée de Bar-le-Duc. De mêmes coins de droit et de revers que l’exemplaire précédent. Couronne de laurier et lis stylisé bien visibles dans la chevelure.

(2nd - 1st century BC)
The Leuques are mentioned only once in the Gallic Wars. Their neighbors were the Médiomatriques, the Lingons and the Séquanes. The Leuques as well as the Séquanes and the Lingones provided Caesar with wheat when the Roman army stopped at Vesontio (Besançon) to refuel before facing the Germans of Ariovistus (58 BC). Caesar (BG. I, 40).
