Les deux drachmes de ce type illustrées dans le Savès proviennent du trésor de Béziers qui fut découvert en 1871 et contenait entre 750 et 800 drachmes.
Bien que de frappe un peu molle au revers, cet exemplaire est d'une qualité exceptionnelle, avec une tête complète et bien venue à la frappe. Au revers, les lunules sont particulièrement rabougries.
The two drachmas of this type illustrated in the Savès come from the Béziers hoard, which was discovered in 1871 and contained between 750 and 800 drachmas. Although the reverse is a little softly struck, this example is of exceptional quality, with a complete and well-struck head. On the reverse, the lunules are particularly stunted.

This people who occupied most of the departments of Aude and Hérault is mentioned neither by Ptolemy, nor by Strabo, nor by Caesar. Their coinage is known to us only by the treasures of Béziers (Hérault) discovered in 1871 and which contained between 750 and 800 coins of Languedoc style as well as that of Moussan in the Aude, discovered in 1967 and which contained 28 drachmas of style " Languedocian".
