On peut supposer une frappe postérieure au décentré de la frappe qui indique un matériel plus qu’obsolète mais il est aussi possible que la frappe, en 1791, n’ai pas eu lieu à Paris mais sur un balancier mis au rebut

Notons que Feuardent signale un parenté du droit avec un jeton de la Cour des monnaies et le sujet est effectivement plus adapté pour une Cour des monnaies que pour une paroisse. On peut supposer que le coin a été utilisé comme coin banal, le portrait du roi pouvant difficilement en faire office compte tenu de l’époque.
