Cet exemplaire, de forme ovale avec chaîne de suspension, s’ouvre latéralement et permet de placer une monnaie de 22 mm et une monnaie de 18,5 mm. Au-dessous se trouve l’emplacement pour le poudrier. Dans le couvercle se trouve le miroir en bon état.
Les emplacements pour mettre les pièces sont guillochés formant une rosace, avec un point lisse central.

Below is a compartment for a powder compact. The mirror, in good condition, is located in the lid. The coin slots are guilloché, forming a rosette pattern with a central smooth dot.

From the Middle Ages until the middle of the 19th century, deniers, écus, and then the first francs and centimes, were carried in purses, alms pouches, or small leather change purses, often attached to the belt.
