Cet exemplaire, en forme de rectangle aux bords arrondis, s’ouvre et permet de placer une monnaie 20 francs Or (diamètre : 22,5 mm) et une monnaie de 10 francs or (20 mm).
L’intérieur du couvercle encore doré présente le motif d’iris en négatif, les emplacements pour mettre les pièces sont guillochés formant un motif discret de rosace.
L’anneau de suspension est poinçonné d’un losange et d’une tête de sanglier Le bouton poussoir présente également deux poinçons tête de sanglier .

The still-gilt interior of the lid features a negative iris motif, and the coin slots are guilloché, forming a subtle rosette pattern. The suspension ring is hallmarked with a lozenge and a boar's head. The push button also bears two boar's head hallmarks.

From the Middle Ages until the middle of the 19th century, deniers, écus, and then the first francs and centimes, were carried in purses, alms pouches, or small leather change purses, often attached to the belt.
