Ce type de denier put faire penser à la région parisienne, mais il ne correspond pas exactement aux deniers de Paris ; les bras de la crois n’ont pas leur pendant qui pend.
Les deniers de Paris n’ont une légende que sur le droit alors que cet exemplaire semble avoir une légende au droit comme au revers.
L’exemplaire n° 67 du trésor de Bais lui ressemble beaucoup, avec le même style de tête ; il s’agit d’un denier de Blois.
This type of denier may have been reminiscent of the Paris region, but it does not correspond exactly to the deniers of Paris; the arms of the cross do not have their pendant hanging down. The deniers of Paris only have a legend on the obverse, whereas this example seems to have a legend on both the obverse and reverse. Example no. 67 from the Bais treasure is very similar, with the same style of head; it is a denier of Blois

Many Merovingian coins, badly minted, with very poor or inexplicit epigraphy, cannot be attributed to a particular mint. Too rare coins unfortunately have the same problem. The attributions being based on often old works, a coin unknown at the time will often have difficulty in being attributed, unless it is possible to read the mint or find the name of the mint and compare with its production in the workshops where he minted coins....
