Le flan de cet exemplaire ne semble pas avoir été découpé à la cisaille, mais plutôt être arrondi. Le phi est stylisé et ressemble plutôt à deux D tête-bêche. Sur les 18 exemplaires répertoriés, un privient d’Agen et onze du Mas-d’Agenais.

GALLIA - SOUTH WESTERN GAUL - NITIOBROGES (Area of Agen)
(1st century BC)
The territory of Nitiobroges corresponds to the current territory of the department of Lot et Garonne (47). Several discoveries of treasures have taken place in this department: in Boé, Aiguillon, Montastruc and Moncrabeau. These "drachmas" by their typology and their metrology resemble more the coinage of western Gaul than the Aquitaine coinage. The weight is closer to the denarius system than to the drachma system. The typology is close to Santones or Lemovices.
