Comme quasiment tous les exemplaires des monnaies de la compagnie O.T.L, ils sont contremarqué du monogramme “OTL” sur l’avers (et quelques fois sur le revers). Il existe deux variétés pour ce jeton : a) avec 9,5 mm entre le “E” de “DE” et le “2” de “25” (avers) et 6 mm entre le “S” de “PAS” et le “E” de “REMBOURSABLE” (revers) ; b) 6,5 mm (avers) et 3 mm (revers) (Les Jetons de Transport Français, Roland Elie, 1995).
Like almost all examples of OTL coins, they are countermarked with the monogram “OTL” on the obverse (and sometimes on the reverse). There are two varieties of this token: a) with 9.5 mm between the “E” of “DE” and the “2” of “25” (obverse) and 6 mm between the “S” of “PAS” and the “E” of “REBOURSABLE” (reverse); b) 6.5 mm (obverse) and 3 mm (reverse) (Les Jetons de Transport Français, Roland Elie, 1995)

The railway from Paris to Saint-Germain, inaugurated on August 24, 1837, is at the origin of the western railway network since the law of July 9, 1835. One of the locomotives used is a Seguin, model 1829 , the first French smoke tube locomotive. The Western Railway Company was liquidated in 1909 to form part of the state network. On August 31, 1937, the forced merger of the five concessionary companies, North, East, Paris-Orléans, PLM, State, Alsace Lorraine gave birth to the SNCF.
