Dans cette série de potins, S. Scheers mentionne "un croissant ou une étoile" devant la tête du sanglier au revers, sans distinguer de variété. Les deux variétés étaient pourtant différenciées dès le XIXe siècle dans le Muret Chabouillet. Le droit est parfois orné d'un globule dans le champ au-dessus du torque (cf. LT. 8145, MONNAIES XV, n° 1298). Cet exemplaire avec deux astres au revers appartiendrait à la Classe I de la série 194 de S. Scheers ou à la var. a de la classe II de la série 36 de L.-P. Delestrée.

The Remi were one of the most powerful peoples of Gaul and loyal allies of the Romans. The territory of the Rèmes extended over present-day Champagne, along the Aisne. They had for neighbors the Atuatuci, the Treveri, the Mediomatrics, the Lingones, the Suessions, the Bellovaci and the Nervians. They denounced to Caesar the coalition of Belgian peoples of 57 BC which included the Suessions who shared the same laws and the same magistrates. Their main oppidum was Bibrax. The capital of the civitas in Gallo-Roman times was Durocortorum (Reims). Caesar (BG. II, 3-5, 7, 12; III, 11; V, 3, 24, 53, 54, 56; VI, 4, 12, 44; VII, 63, 90; VIII, 6, 11) . Strabo (G. IV, 3, 5).
