La Société suisse de Zofingue est l’une des plus anciennes sociétés étudiantes du pays. Fondée en 1819 par des étudiants bernois et zurichois, elle avait pour but initial de promouvoir la création d’un État fédéral suisse. But atteint en 1848 avec la Constitution fédérale.

SWITZERLAND - CONFEDERATION OF HELVETIA
(since 1848)
Switzerland formed a Confederation in 1848. It adopted the Swiss Franc, aligned with the French Franc in 1850. It joined the Latin Union in December 1865. It remained neutral during the two world wars and later grew rich thanks to its banks.
