Étienne-Jacques-Christophe Benoist de la Grandière est procureur du roi en la maîtrise des eaux et forêts de Touraine puis conseiller du roi au bailliage et siège présidial de Tours, ainsi qu’assesseur à la Maréchaussée générale de Touraine. C’est le fils de Louis Benoist de la Grandière, maire entre 1768 et 1771. Il est maire de 1780 à 1790. C’est la première fois que nous proposons à la vente cette référence !.
Étienne-Jacques-Christophe Benoist de la Grandière was the king's attorney for the water and forest management of Touraine, then a king's advisor to the bailiwick and presidial seat of Tours, as well as an assessor to the General Maréchaussée of Touraine. He was the son of Louis Benoist de la Grandière, mayor between 1768 and 1771. He was mayor from 1780 to 1790. This is the first time we have offered this item for sale!

TOURAINE - GENTRY AND TOWNS
Region of the Turones Celts, Touraine has as main city Turones or Caesarodunum (Tours) under the Romans, of which it is the capital of Lyonnaise IIIe. After the Battle of Vouillé in 507, it passed to the Franks. It became county in the 10th century and the stake of a rivalry between the houses of Anjou and Blois. It was confiscated in 1203 from Jean sans Terre. It became the prerogative of many princes and ended up being attached to the Crown on the death of François d'Alençon in 1584.
