Cette médaille ou jeton est une sorte 1/12 de Thaler klippe. Elle commémore le tricentenaire de la Sécularisation et la Réforme pronée par Luther. Elle n'est pas signée. La légende de revers se traduit par "Après les Ténèbres, la Lumière" est tirée de la Génèse et est aussi la devise de Genève.

By the Treaty of Westphalia, Alsace entered the French orbit but Strasbourg remained an independent city. During the war of Devolution, Alsace was not invaded but this was not the case during the war against the United Provinces where, several times, Turenne had to clear Alsace invaded by the imperialists. His victory at Turckheim saved Alsace, but he died on July 27, 1675 at the siege of Salzbach. On September 30, 1681, the French seized Strasbourg and Louis XIV entered there on October 8..
