La tête, peu visible sur cet exemplaire, semble surmontée d’une volute en forme de fleur de lis comme on le rencontre parfois sur le monnayage picton. Le casque est donc fortement stylisé.

The Durocasses are not cited by Caesar in the Gallic Wars. They seem to have emancipated themselves from Carnut tutelage quite late, like the Parisii from that of the Senones. Their name means "the warriors of the fortified hill"..
