Très beau statère avec de hauts reliefs au droit. Patine de collection
正面
正面的说明书 Tête stylisée d’Apollon, la couronne de lauriers divisée par un sceptre avec un motif ailé de chaque côté ; des croissants en bas à droite, et une harpe en bas à gauche.
背面
背面的说明书 Cheval bondissant à droite ; une aile ainsi que trois globules disposés en triangle au-dessus et un globule en dessous ; motifs sous la ligne de terre.

BRITTANY - CATUVELLAUNI
(1st century BC)
The Catuvellauni occupied the counties of Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Huntingdonshire and Cambridge with parts of Essex, Oxfordshire and Suffolk. The Catuvellauni seem to have been a small military tribe dependent on the Atrebates and Regni. Cassivellaune was the leader of the Catuvellauni and organized the fight against the Romans in 54 BC. He treated with Caesar, agreed to pay an annual tribute and is cited in the Gallic Wars (V, 11, 18, 19, 20 , 21 and 22).
