La Banque européenne d'investissement ou BEI (en anglais European Investment Bank, en allemand Europäische Investitionsbank) est l'institution financière des États membres de l'Union européenne. Elle a pour principal but d'emprunter sur les marchés financiers pour financer des projets au sein de l'Union européenne. La BEI finance également des projets en dehors de l'Union européenne notamment dans les pays partenaires méditerranéens, par son fonds euro-méditerranéen d'investissement et de partenariat (FEMIP).
Elle fut créée en 1957, avec le Traité de Rome. Elle siège à Luxembourg mais dispose également de bureaux à Bruxelles, Paris, Rome, Helsinki, Athènes, Berlin, Lisbonne, Londres, Madrid, Varsovie, Istanbul, Bucarest, Tunis, Dakar, Rabat, Nairobi, Fort-de-France, Sydney, Pretoria et au Caire..
