Exemplaire sur un flan épais, bien centré des deux côtés, mais court sur les légendes. Beaux portraits expressifs avec une faiblesse de frappe sur celui de Gordien III. Très jolie représentation du revers avec le temple d’Apollon Saurocton. Jolie patine vert foncé

GORDIANUS III and TRANQUILLINA
(241-244)
Gordian III married the daughter of the prefect of the Praetorian Timésithée, Tranquillina, in 241. The following year, she accompanied the emperor to the East. After the death of his father, replaced by Philip the Arab, we lose track of him. Gordian was assassinated in 244 at the instigation of the new prefect of the Praetorium.
